About Me

Hey there! My name is Joshua Gainor and I am a web designer and developer that mainly focuses on front-end development. I am originally from Bowie, Maryland before moving to Florida to go to school at Full Sail University. I orginally went to Full Sail for Simulations & Visualization in order to create virtual reality games, but quickly learned that I would prefer to keep games as a hobby and not a job. So, I switched into web development and started to enjoy planning out what a website would look like and learning how to make it function...

Being born in 1997, I had always grown up around technology as it continued to advance. The earliest memory I have of messing with technology would be playing Snake or Brick Break on my mom's blackberry phone. From there, my parents had gotten me a Nintendo 64 along with a few games to play. Every day after school, my dad and I would spend hours playing games like 007, Mario Kart, and one of our favorites, The Legend of Zelda. Spending hours solving puzzle and fighting big bosses within the world of The Legend of Zelda is something that spiked my love of technology, making me a fan of the series to this day.

Other than video games and basketball, it wasn't until later in life, around my high school years, did I start to form some new hobbies. I had also picked up volleyball, rock-climbing, and another form of gaming, board games. Even today, my collection of board games, card games, or any table-top game continues to grow. Something about bringing your friends or family all into one room and enjoying a nice physical game is a feeling that is hard to beat. This feeling alone is what inspired me to create my web application Game Night Debut.
